This week, we did monoprinting. Each student brought a block of gelatin to class that we had made at home.
The gelatin was placed on plexiglass and using a brayer, we rolled paint onto the surface. We added texture and shapes to the paint with bubble wrap, stencils, leaves and other objects. Next, we gently printed paper or cloth with our designs. It's really fun because you can change your paint colors and designs while printing over and over on the same piece of cloth.
After many attempts, these two were my favorites. They will be quilted and I will share them when they are finished.
