For Candy

When my friend Candy had knee surgery last week, I wanted to give her something to look forward to during her recovery.  I wrapped 7 small gifts and placed tags on them with the instructions that she could open one a day for a week.
The gifts were wrapped and placed in a basket and hopefully will cheer her up after her return from the hospital.  Wishing you a speedy recovery Candy!

3rd Week

In our 3rd week of watercolor/collage class, we created a repeated design on a collaged background.
We started by collaging colorful papers on one of our watercolor journal pages.
Using a fat Sharpie marker, we outlined shapes on our collage.
The background was painted lightly with absorbent ground, then a watercolor wash was added.
I added little splashes of color in the flower centers and glued on dots for texture.

2nd Week

For our second week of watercolor/collage class, Jane LaFazio instructed us to create a collage with muted colors in the background.  Using a water soluble Tombow pen, we were to draw something metallic.  I chose some small clocks and a watch.  I added details with a stencil.

I'm still not comfortable with a Tombow pen but it is great for adding dimension to non-colorful art.
