Russel Wright (1904-1976) was an American designer whose idea was to bring modern design to the general public. His "American Modern" pitcher was introduced in 1939 and is now being reissued by Bauer Pottery. I purchased mine about 2 years ago and I love the color (seafoam) and the beautiful fluid lines.
