Shore

A few years ago, from a catalog, I ordered a large stretched canvas Giclee print for our living room.  I wasn't really happy with it but hung it anyway, hoping it would grow on me.
Yesterday, I decided to add my own little touch to it.

I painted some acrylics on a piece of mixed media paper and cut out lettering.

Just a little addition, but I'm happier with the print now.

  2. I like the painting you did on mixed media paper best of all. I think a larger version of that would be fantastic on a stretched canvas.

  4. Way to go Ellen, I know the feeling. I have this large delightful woodsy snow print over the mantel but had always wanted a nice oil painting instead. You guessed it! I just oil painted right over the cardboard print, and it looks good! 5. I agree with Sherrie--although, I do really love that mustard shade in the original giclee...
