I made these these colorful pennants as a birthday gift for my daughter. Using a rotary pinking blade, cut two different fabrics for each triangle 9 1/2" long x 7" across the top. Place wrong sides together and stitch along the 9 1/2" sides only. Place the open ends in a folded 2" bias tape, pin and sew. They look so happy hanging in the garden or on the deck.
What a lovely idea, Ellen, so festive and pretty. I might do something similar--but not for a party...just for the effect!! Say, are those bird of paradise in the background? I think those are just gorgeous. Have a great weekend. Pam =)
ReplyDeleteEllen,
ReplyDeleteI have been following you for awhile since I have been home in Mount Shasta and am just now getting around to joining and posting a comment. I am so impressed with how you keep up with things and post so regularly. And your pictures are great!! Haven't done much creating/sewing since I've been home but hope to soon!
I like these! Need some on my balcony...
