Go Fish!

I found a great pattern by Susan Carlson in the "Quilting Arts Magazine" for fabric fish collages.  After selecting batik fabrics (always my favorite step), I machine pieced the fish, then hand stitched the tops using varigated color threads and added some gold paint. I finishing the backgrounds by free motion machine stitching.  The completed quilts are approximately 12" x 21" - just the right size to showcase the Catch of the Day!
