15 Minutes Play is having another challenge. Our quilt should represent spring and use "made fabric". I was inspired by a greeting card designed by Sybille Lichtenstein and have been working on this 12" square block.
I also have joined a group, National Letter Writing Month. At one time, the US Postal Office recognized April for writing letters. This group of 133 talented people will start sending mail art to each other for the entire month of April. I have been busy getting my envelopes ready and am really excited for the month to start.

Layered Page
One of our lessons in Jane LaFazio's class was to create a layered journal page.
We watercolored a page using a theme of our choice. I selected little birds that my daughter has given me over the years. This will be the bottom layer.
Our top layer is colored pencil drawn on vellum.
When placed together, you get a transparent journal page. I love the look of a hint of the birds behind the ferns.
Thank you Jane for another great class filled with talented ladies, laughter and wonderful lessons!

For Kate
Another friend is facing major surgery, so I have made her prayer flags to send good thoughts for a speedy recovery.

Choices, Choices, Choices
I'm pretty sure I spend more time selecting fabrics for the mini wallets then it takes me to make them!
Last week I had four dear friends for lunch - we are all retired employees from the same elementary school. The minis were perfect little hostess gifts.
