For our last class meeting, Jane taught us how to paint on Masa paper. We drew our design in permanent ink, then crumpled our paper into a ball and soaked it in water for about 1 minute. While it was still wet, we color washed the background. The watercolor spreads easily over the surface and once dry, we painted our design.
Everyone really enjoyed the class including this service pooch who became a class favorite! Thank you to Jane LaFazio for introducing us to so many fun projects.
I think that would be an interesting technique without the crumpling of the paper. You've had several fun classes and I've enjoyed sharing your results! I think I'm going to miss this too.
