Urban Art

This knitted stem with leaves appeared on the stop sign at the foot of our hill a few weeks ago.
People have since started adding little embellishments to this whimsical and creative street art.

These knitted masterpieces are mysteriously appearing around San Diego but sadly, we read in the local paper that the city will be removing them.

I will miss this work of art, it puts a smile on my face.

  1. I bet everyone comes to a full stop to have a look - it's so cute. Too bad they will be taking it down.

  3. I agree...it would make people stop completely. I suppose it probably is a distraction to attentive driving, but I think it's a whole lot more creative and wholesome than grafitti. I would miss it too.

  4. Too bad the government doesn't have more of a sense of humor. Hopefully the artists will turn their creativity to something else just as visible.
