Bowl
For our last lesson in the watercolor class, we painted on collaged backgrounds. I used pages from an old book written in German then added a small bowl from Anthropolgie. I really like the printed page showing through the watercolors.
I like the collage effect, too! I made a "christmas wreath" painting over vintage map pages with Twinkling H20's--sooo cool! Did you use any particular kind of watercolor? The color seems so vibrant even though you can see the layers clearly. Love it!

ReplyDeleteI used Prang watercolors - inexpensive and the same kind the kids use in elementary school!! The white dots are made with Sharpie poster paint pens.
DeleteFun, fun, fun! I didn't know about the Sharpie poster paint pens -- something else to add to the stash.
ReplyDeleteThis looks SO cool! The addition of the white paint pen is a great technique for adding a bit of pop to this work of art.
