Gnarly Tree

This is a eucalyptus tree that is residing in someone's garden near San Diego Bay.
It's very tall and the bent branches reach out in every direction. The trunk and limbs are smooth to the touch and the large ferns surrounding it sway in the breeze.  It is spectatular to see and makes me think of a place where gnomes and fairies would live.

    Wow, Ellen, this tree is so cool! I've been out of town after a several full days at work and now checking out all the blogs, I'm getting such wonderful inspiration! This tree photo makes me eager to get my art journal in my hands--I'll be posting my take on it!
