Super Easy

I got a pattern from www.craftsy.com for these cute embellishments to add to holiday packages.
Cut out 6 circles using double sided paper (I used a small scrapbook tablet).  Draw a triangle on one side of each circle making sure it is centered and touches the sides.  Fold in 2 of the triangle sides with the lines on the bottom and glue each circle together to form a flower.

TOO CUTE AND EASY!!!!

A Winner

My mini quilt was one of 6 winners on www.15minutesplay.com blog.  Yesterday, I received my prize of the pattern "Home is Where the Heart Lives".

Thank you Victoria Findlay Wolfe for another great challenge and for selecting my quilt!

Tis The Season

It's starting to look very festive at our house.  Like everyone else, I have been very busy getting ready for the holidays.  Sewing, crafting, cooking and shopping - and I can't share my creations until the end of the month!  Happy Holidays!

I'm making slow progress with my lone star quilt but this weekend, I managed to finish another block.  I now have 8 completed, this pattern is great for using up scraps!

Finished Mini

This past weekend I finished my 12" mini quilt, a challenge from "15 Minutes Play".  I used machine stitching, added some hand stitched details and embellished it with a few beads.

I love making small art quilts, the size is so easy to work with and they get finished in no time!

Another big thank you to Victoria - she inspires so many of us with her blog challenges.

November Block of the Month

November's block is called "Star Crown" but I want to call mine "Tequila Sunrise" - dark pinks, oranges and yellows are the colors of the morning and evening skies in San Diego lately.

There are 60 pieces and 12 different fabrics in the block - wow!

Week 15

I can't believe I have kept up with my Project Life scrapbook.  I just finished week 15 - filled with Halloween, friendships, Dia de los Muetros activities and good times.

This project takes a lot of dedication and a ton of daily photos but my book is filled with joy and memories that I will always treasure.
