My husband, I and two other couples attended the Holiday Bowl last night in San Diego. I had forgotten how exciting college football games can be. We rode the trolley, tailgated with friends, bundled up in long johns in the 48 degree weather, listened to marching bands, saw Navy Seal skydivers, enjoyed a huge halftime show complete with giant balloons, watched fireworks and oh yes, football.

Brush the top and sides of a thin crust Boboli Pizza lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle the crust with a small amount of pre-shredded mozzarella cheese. Next, add drained sun dried tomatoes, drained marinated artichoke hearts that you have chopped, sliced olives, sliced mushrooms and green onions. Top it with crumbled goat cheese, shredded mozzeralla and a light sprinkle of parmesean cheese. My daughter Jill, added sliced jalapeno peppers to one side to give it a kick. Bake at 425 for 8-10 minutes. Enjoy!

I found a great pattern by Susan Carlson in the "Quilting Arts Magazine" for fabric fish collages. After selecting batik fabrics (always my favorite step), I machine pieced the fish, then hand stitched the tops using varigated color threads and added some gold paint. I finishing the backgrounds by free motion machine stitching. The completed quilts are approximately 12" x 21" - just the right size to showcase the Catch of the Day!
